Every year, my brothers’ join the Movember movement to raise awareness and support. This year, there’s an event that Sana Govender is hosting this friday, 25th November, where he will screen his short film, 5 Stages of Grief (a long awaited screening I might add )
All proceeds will go towards Movember Ireland. If you can’t make the event, donate online. Because as we all know, every little helps.
‘Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends face a health crisis that isn’t being talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent. We’re transforming the way research into men’s health is done, and the way health services reach and support men.’
Let’s be the change we wish to see.
We are just human. We all have doubts, fears, good days and bad. You may look at a person and think, ‘Wow, aren’t they always happy’ but really, you’ll never know just how a person feels deep down until you ask. After all, life affects us all differently. We all deal with events and situations in our own way but sometimes life can bring you down. Everyone can do with a kind word or a smile or even just a chat, once in a while.
It’s suicide awareness week, but let’s always remember to be a little kinder to each other, everyday, not just today. We’re stronger if we stand together.
As the sun rises on World #Suicide Prevention Day help us help those in distress move from the darkness into the light.
By texting PH4 to 50300 and donating €4 you can help continue to fight the fight against suicide in Ireland and beyond.
100% of donation goes to Pieta House across most network providers. Some providers apply VAT, which means a minimum of €3.25 will go to Pieta House.
